MOTHRA

When the people of Infant Island sing, their goddess Mothra rises to help humankind. But when the wider world loses its way, the mythical kaiju leaves its home to enact mother nature’s righteous fury. In either case, Mothra is usually accompanied by two tiny magical twin priestesses known as The Shobijin or The Cosmos, which serve as their monster matriarch's mediators and translators.

Mothra manifests in two forms – as a colossal larval caterpillar or as a massive imago moth. Its most common larval attack is an extremely sticky silk webbing, shot from its serrated jaws to slow, confuse, and even completely entrap foes. In its winged imago form, Mothra can fly at supersonic speeds and create destructive wind gusts. Mothra’s reflective wing scales can defensively reflect ranged attacks and, as a final offensive resort, drop as deadly dust onto foes below. Depending on the incarnation, Mothra has also emitted energy blasts from its antennae, eyes, and wings.
