GODZILLA (1984-1995)

In 1984, the King of the Monsters' cinematic canon returned to its darker roots in Godzilla Returns. This raging Godzilla radiated renewed menace, with a mountainous silhouette of massive dorsal fins running from its fanged face to its longest tail yet.

While many of the films that followed improved Godzilla's relationship with humankind, they continued to showcase the kaiju's scale with equally enhanced threats.

In the Heisei era finale, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, not even Godzilla's body could contain its raw power. Tragically pulsing with molten energy below its skin, Godzilla faced Destoroyah, an outright evil monster from its ancestral past in a decisive, era-defining final battle.
